LAMINATED WOOD VENEER CASKETS FOR BURIAL & CREMATION

Reid Casket Company was one of the first official distributors of Sauder Caskets.

Sauder may be a national name in affordable furniture, but it’s a company headquartered in Archbold, Ohio whose name “Sauder” denotes pride and tradition to many, if not all, communities in Ohio.

In 2010, when Myrl Sauder and his son, Dan Sauder began to explore the idea of expanding their product line into manufacturing affordable caskets for the average American, they called on Jim and Tom Reid for their expertise and insight into developing Sauder Funeral Products.

To this day, Sauder Caskets remain a cost-effective choice for burial AND cremation.

In 2021, the Sauders sold the brand to our Canadian wood casket manufacturer and partner, Victoriaville. The main components of a Sauder casket are still manufactured in Archbold, Ohio by Ohio workers, but Victoriaville — now handling the assembly, sales, and distribution — made a significant investment into Ohio by building a 69,000 sqft facility in Cleveland, Ohio to assemble the components for a finished Sauder casket.

Sauder Caskets remain 100% American-Made and 100% Assembled in Ohio by Ohio workers.

Reid Casket Company is proud to continue its tradition of offering the Sauder line of caskets to its funeral directors and their families.
